Joining
Blindhouse was Josie’s first experience of being in a band and with changes in
the line up, she once again is the youngest member of Blindhouse.
Josie’s
talent lies in her ability to quickly find a harmony part to a song, and she
often takes the higher vocal part, lending quality to the vocals within the
band. Josie is the “one in
the middle” as she always stands in the centre of the three female vocalists
and usually takes the lead in sorting out the dance movements that the girls use
in some of the songs.
Josie
has the dubious pleasure of being related to one of the other members of the
band – the bass player. This does
not particularly do her “street cred” any good, especially when friends ask
about the band - about the sort of thing they play and who are the band members.
Josie tries to skip the last question and doesn’t want to admit that
she is in a rock band - with her Dad!
Josie
takes the lead vocal for a couple of songs, although she prefers the role of
harmoniser. Her talent shines
through on some of the acoustic songs that the band now includes in an unplugged
set.
